Researching many sources and turning information into a work of art that will help educate, promote, and preserve history fulfills a need in the community and a need in my heart to never forget those that have gone before us.
When I look at an old sepia toned photograph, whether it's a soldier that died in WWI at the age of 19, or a long passed relative, I can imagine the moment that the bulb flashes, in vivid color. They are alive in a world as real as the world I am in right now. They get up and walk away. They live amazing lives, yet what remains? A faded photograph, collecting dust in an attic?
If life has taught me anything so far, it's that there are amazing stories in that attic.
